Where to find misix ?

hi all,

does anyone know where to find misix 3 , the os fro novatec , pretty much like dos1
with subdirs though.

i have found the novatec page and dowloaded arj package but they seems corrupted ...
no way to unarj it even .ar sources as well

Hi, the archive you downloaded was corrupt when Novatec archive was mirrored to its current location.
I have original distribution (both binaries & source code), but it seems I lost all documentation.

*1: What exactly does this Tiny-DOS2 does? It may not do what I think it does by it's description.

for solid c , i see
cc1.com produces .tmc file
cc2.com produces .cma file

ld.com needs .rle file

when i try .cma file with as.com to produce .rle i get many errors ,
so i wonder if i am not missing some step.

I saw in te corrupted .arj's there is "c.bat" , i guess this files has
the good cmmands ....

I´ve testing the new version of the Beer Bios. I did not find the way to copy files from pc to the drive and then execute them in the MSX. Could somebody explain me how to do this?

My configuration is Sony F1XDJ, Misix O.S. and Beer 1.9 bios with a CF 128 Mb size.

Sorry, that cc2 seems to be an experimental 2nd pass from 3-pass Solid C 3.0 which was never completely finished I shall mail you correct version when i find it.

First, you partition your cf on PC. Partitions can be of FAT12 or FAT16 types; BIOS 1.9 also supports partitions larger than 32Mbytes but this feature should be considered experimental.
Then you boot from floppy and use hprep to fix bootloader code eg: hprep format c:
After that you should be able to boot from your media on MSX, and access it on PC as well
