Of course the konami games told by Poisonic.
AKin from Parallax too.
And sure, Core Dump, M-Kid & X-Tasy would do.

I always was very impressed by the graphics and the wonderful music of aleste 2.
and it still impresses me.
but since the msx runs that game so smooth like it has no difficulties with the graphics at all i gues that game still doesnt pull everything out of the msx. Tongue
the scrolling is super smooth and fast
wonderful details.
wonderful use of colors
music that give u an rush while playing it.
i still remember the very first time when i saw that game
omg it almost gave me tears of joy CryingLOL! hehehe

I think Aleste2 suffers from huge slow down when too many things happen on screen. So you COULD definitely say that game pushed MSX to the limits.

same with zanac-ex and aleste.

for MSX games, they're really smooth, but compared to other systems....
then again, Compile liked to throw lots of enemies on the screen at once Wink

I don't think metal gear and metal gear 2 puch the msx to the limits. They are just really good games.

Micro Mirror Man?

Btw if a game suffers from slowdown it is either pushed over the limit or due bad coding.

what about the fight with metal gear D in MG2?
That part seemed like it was pushing the MSX quite a bit...

I was quite impressed by Feedback's zooming sprites, Psycho World's scrolling, there was this Commando-like game (TNT?) which had some nice effects (although it was too slow).
I wouldn't know how MG2 pushed the limits. I mean, it's a great game but I didn't see anything there that (technically) blew me away.
