Yes, might have been the octopus. I remember now: I had very little HP left and I kept restarting with very little after dying... So it became impossible to win...
I might pick it up some time, who knows...

@ Demonseed: HAIL JOHN! No, I want to solve MG2 without walkthrough. I once played it to the point where you had to cross some poison-like stuff on the floor. I think it was fretty far in the game. Oh yes. I played the game in Japanese and didn't know what I was doing.

About Fray: Can't remember that octopus anymore. Do remember the last boss though. Very big bastard that grabs you and throws you away, hurting you lot. You had to jump at exactly the right moment to dodge this attack.

Fray is e.z. man, common play that fantastic game!
MG2 ain't that hard too, and more than worth while playing.

I still, like others, have never even attempted to play The Snatcher. But this forum got me exited again and I'll give that one a try this week (I hope). The English version ofcourse.

Still waiting for the complete translation of IC....

ro, you should really try Snatcher. It's not very hard. Smile

Well one of the msx games i still have not finished is Salamander (i never like to use cheats),and livingstone(how the hell is supposed to finish this hard game?i remember i got pretty far but never finished it).

Also goody, what is the cheat that allows you to travel to walls?

Well now with the new disk rom utility i will create a rom file and upload it to the megaflash scc and maybe try to finish it again (i would hate to use floppies iif i can use a sunrise (that i do not have yet!) or use the megaflash cartridge that is so fast)

Does Game Master count as a cheat? I finished Gradius 2 using the load/save ability of Game master. Just save a lot and load again if you die. Ofcourse you can use save states in MSX emulators but I finished this game about 10 years ago on a real MSX. You could do the same with Salamander.

Okay, just checked Snatcher.. it's aaight I guess. but...
- why don't "savestates" in BlueMSX don't work with this game? (oh well, I'll save with MG)
- There's still some Portuguese text in it! (I'm currently @ case 1, analyzing Gibson's corpse and running from the bomb!)
- How the hell do I continue/load after Game over? (any key??)

oh well Running Naked in a Field of Flowers

oh? I thought they did =P ...but I might be remembering incorrectly.

yes, but nothing making it unplayable, don't worry *finished it*

I think you don't...instead you restart (loading, loading and more loading) and select the last point you saved /w Metal Gear.

Between all the loading, it's a nice game... Running Naked in a Field of Flowers
