ja
almost everyone has a CF interface by now on whith programs /games on them

im assuming stuff is sorted and cataloged with use of subdirectories.
i have.

But programms which can copy subdirectorys are non exsisten or not functioning well on bigger (fat16) partitions,as far as i know..

Multi Mente works with subdirectories but hangson bigger operations

The total Commande in Symbos cant do subdirs..
Neither can Easy

i got my hopes up when i heard of Xelasoft Control Center

http://www.msx.org/XCC-opensource.newspost1616.html

But allas....
No subdirecoties there either

at this newspost it says you can join and try to impove XCC

any takers on that?
/me no programming skils

Seems to me such a program could be very usefull nowadays with CF's around

It would be awesome if somebody would join the project and help XCC move forward

MultiMente never hung for me... I did almost all complex file operations with it. It does have some bug if there are more than 255 files in a directory or something.

I have not found the time yet to update XCC.

Though, my usual strategy to copy files is indeed with xcopy like suggested above. You can even launch it from within XCC, e.g. use XCC to navigate to the correct starting point, type xcopy, select the source directory with ^enter, then tab (if memory serves me well) to the other frame and ^enter to select the target directory.
