Updated the file on my site as well: http://www.file-hunter.com/MSX/Zoo.html
I notice in my weblogs that quite some people try to download the .dsk file by guessing the name. WebMSX allows you to save the diskfiles you're using, so... if you want to have the most recent .DSK file you can download GDX's last link or just hit the disk-icon on my site while playing the game.

One other question: Does anyone in here have an English version of L'Affaire? I only have the Dutch version on my site, and I'd prefer to use the English version of course :)

You too gray, eh Grauw Wink (not sure if you spotted that misspelling.. Smile)

(Pachyderms (indeed, 'elephants' in the Freesoft version) did make it though.. Tongue But that just makes for a nice remembrance don't you think? Wink)

Not sure that it's possible with Google Chrome.

For me, best option is to use an emulator with audio mixer Wink

Rightclick on the TAB you want to mute and select "mute tab"

Thanks ! Smile I didn't know that (on my French system, it's "Couper le son de l'onglet")

Note that French is a language with some special expressions ... cut the sound = mute!

But this expression exists also in English urban dictionary: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=cut%20the%20s...

Here's a small contribution. Add this line to ZOO.LDR to force 50Hz on boot, otherwise the songs will be played too fast in an NTSC/PAL-M machine. Hold SELECT on boot to skip this.

5 K$=LEFT$(INKEY$+".",1):IF ASC(K$)<>24 THEN VDP(10)=VDP(10)OR2:'Set 50Hz by default. Press SELECT to skip.

@tfh

It might be a good idea to turn off the MSX-Music emulation, since it's not used in this game. This will make it less CPU intensive and save battery time for mobile devices.

Long live emulators ;-)
I just use a savestate and reload it to continue...

The only way to save your progress is really with savestates on emulators? Back then you had to play this game from start to finish in a single run? Shocked!

Interesting.. So it's seems to be an original disk (but not official?) from the Freesoft MSX Club, Italy?
Perhaps you can dump it to .dmk. I'm not familiar with that, but @Manuel (who's also following this (hopefully Wink)) could help I guess Smile

(I was thinking about opening a new thread on s/w preservation anyway, so a proper dump would be great Smile)

DSK+DER can be converted to DMK. Let me know if you need that.
(Source code here: https://github.com/openMSX/openMSX/blob/master/Contrib/dmk/d... )

DER2DMK worked perfectly on the dsk+der files... thanks Manuel.
