Thanks! Do you know which year this machine was released?
Also, do you have more machines we can add to openMSX?

Weird by the way: that box says DPC-200CD.

Anyway, alshamaa, at least that AX230 is very interesting too! Can you do the same steps for that machine?

mars: do you know why the wiki article on the Perfect MSX1 says TMS9929A? (So, how is that information established?)
According to the ident.bas results alshamaa got (assuming he used the program correctly and gave 'honest' responses to the questions it asks), it must be a TMS91xx.

I think it's just a 'general guessing' by GDX when precise infos are missing.

Can you precise me which elements in ident.bas lead to this 'alternative' VDP ?

see https://i.imgsafe.org/913134a8cc.jpg
4k/16k has no effect meaning it's a TMS91xx. Because it is a PAL machine it's then TMS99x9.

I'd prefer that if no information is known, the WIki article also says that: TMS9xxx (unknown)
When such precise information is in the article as it was now, it appears that it's a fact. But apparently it's not a fact at all, so it's very misleading. What information is reliable and what is guessed?
I really propose to stick to facts and don't do any guessing, and if it is guessed, it is documented as such.

I've corrected for TMS9129 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Instruments_TMS9918 : no trace of TMS9119)

Can you make a dump of it?

(Strange, my post disappeared from this thread!)

Can you make some photographs of the computer's main board so I can read the text on the chips?

By the way. during the process of removal and installation for ( Al Mithali ) to pick up the photos from inside ,were contact between two wires, This led to exit of smoke from the power transformer and it become very hot . then the device went out of service.
There was one of two solutions:
1 - replacement of all The power supply unit with a new one given the same voltage.
2 - reform of the power transformer. and Keep the original pieces of the device.

I found electronics technician who re-built the power transformer from inside. And returned it to their rightful places and device returned to work.
