Hi everybody. I've been in stand by during last years so I've lost some MSX games that I'm discovering now. Yesterday I was surprised by a game that surely everyone here knows but it's simply brilliant: Bombaman.

The game has really a professional finish, it seems a Hudson Soft game for PC Engine. Congratulations to Team Bomba for such incredible work.

Thanks AlexStone! Always nice to hear people comparing it to the real deal Smile It really took lots of time & energy to create the game (and all the tools)! You can read all about it on the Team Bomba website (if you haven't already).

btw Jorito, the link to 'the making of Bombaman' on the Bombaman page is incorrect, should have .html extension instead of .php.

Thanks for the compliments! Comparing the graphics with a PC Engine game almost made me blush.

What a weird place to receive a bug report for a site that hasn't been updated in years Tongue
Anyways, I fixed the link!

Let me please chime in here.

This is one great game that truly shows the capabilities of the MSX2 platform.
The designers excellently ported the playability from the consoles to the MSX2 without making too many compromises.

Thumbs up!

I'm really enjoyiing the story mode in my real MSX2. It's full of details, I've discovered in the emulator that it supports all sound chips, Moonsound included :-O.

It's definately recommended to play with Moonsound. Not only do you get nice sampled sound effects, also the music was composed for Moonsound originally (and converted down to MoonBlaster stereo).
