Does anybody now where to get a version of Dome made by paragon. It was supposed to be a dune 2 clone for msx. As far as I can remember they sold the beta version for 5 gulden at the tilburg fair. SO maybe someone has a dsk file of it.

Try Whizzy. Although I think he won't have working files himself. It's been a long time...
He got quite a ways past the beta but was unable to finish it.

Thanks paragon_Leon,
It has been a while since I posted this and in the mean time someone mailed me the disk. It gives an impression of how the game would have looked and it really is ashame it was never completed, it looked nice enough.

Would be nice to have this rescued, so we can try it out again and make YouTube videos, etc. Smile

@Whizzy: Yes, please give it a try. Was there ever a version that was a bit playable or did it never reached that state ?

It still looks great today. I've got several playable version of it on my computer. Also some of the .mbm music files.
I can email it to you Whizzy if you like.
It could have been the first real RTS for msx...

I just (re)played Dune II again myself... What a game! It would be really perfect for an MSX port. That game doensn't require that much more than what an MSX can offer.

Also, the FM music is great! It's OPL2 (YM3812) music, so it should be possible to directly replay on OPL4. Perhaps it can even be converted (downgraded?) to MSX-AUDIO. Who knows how these Westwood Adlib files work? Can this be played on MSX? Perhaps via VGM?

@Paragon people: please make the latest version available somewhere! Would be cool to see that again.

The original files are in the ADL file format. And yes they can be played on OPL4 on the MSX: see this video
