A ROM file is a dump of the content of a ROM chip of a cartridge. A disk drive (emulator or not) works with disks.

So try something like sofarom, but using a flash ROM cartridge is much better suitable.

SofaROM tries to patch a ROM file to make it work with a memory mapper, if you have one in your MSX. But chances are quite large it will fail. Really, running ROM files on a real MSX is best done with a flash device.

The Gotek is a very nice way to go if you want to play Disk games.
Because the standard gotek has some shady firmware on it.
You have to do some tweaking, First flash the Gotek with FlashFloppy this is a free firmware for goteks.
Then you can use DSK images on your msx like a normal floppy.
Works like a charm.

Hi everybody!
I have a gotek flashed with FlashFloppy v0.9.28 , but at the moment I haven't seen it working in my MSX
What is the config of the USB key and what is needed inside to make it work?
My gotek is SFR1M44-U100K 3.5"
