Honestly speaking I can no longer afford anymore of these retro machines as their rices are reaching high peek. I already collected three different retro machines so MSX computers it out the ball for me. So until the day I die, MSX emulator is my only MSX computer. The reason I am mentioning this as my beginning opening of this sentence because I want to buy Ghost (a new galius like game) for MSX but it is cartridge only. Is there way I can take that cartridge and through my PC and turn it into ROM so I can play it on my MSX emulator? I don't care if I have to buy a USB hardware or something as that will be ones a life time purchase and allows me to run all cartridge exclusive games into my emulator.

Thanks in advance. Smile

Purchase the cartridge and ask an acquaintance to copy the cartridge.

Do you know of a reliable source or something? Is there no hardware I can buy myself? Is this something I can't do on my own?

For Ghost specifically, the game is also available on Steam under the name "Mini-Ghost," with extra features:

So you wouldn't even have to emulate it -- just buy the Windows version and play that instead!

Incidentally, it's a prequel to another game you can get on Steam called "Ghost 1.0" that's also absolutely excellent -- and though a lot more modern, it still has its roots in Maze of Galious, so it still carries a lot of those same Galious-like design principles:

And Ghost 1.0 is kind of a spiritual successor to the developer's first game, Unepic, which was directly inspired by Maze of Galious (and has numerous Maze of Galious references in it), and is also an absolutely fantastic game:

...Basically, what I'm trying to say is, Francesco Tellez de Meneses makes amazing games, and you should totally play them all. ;)

Thank you so much!! I am going to buy these three games and enjoy them for sure. No if's or but about it.

One final question I want to ask you. I downloaded the patch M36 - A Life Planet - English With Bug Fixes V1.0 for the Game M36 - A Life Planet. How do I patch the game with this English translation? I never done that before.

Thanks in advance.

I used a program called "Lunar IPS," which is very user-friendly.

http://fusoya.eludevisibility.org/lips/

Basically, you just tell it what .ips patch file to use, and what .rom file to use it on (the program doesn't natively recognize .rom as a valid format, so you'll need to tell it to display "all files" before it'll show up on the list), and then it'll almost instantaneously apply the patch to the .rom file. You can then play that .rom file however you normally would, and it should be in English! (Although with this game, it does seem there are certain systems it won't play on, and others that will mess up the text, so try to use a Japanese MSX2 or MSX2+ setup if you can!)

It doesn't run the cartridge it just stays blue screen. Any help?

After patching it..it corrupted the rom file. Now it just keeps reseting the MSX endlessly!
