Amazing! Is there anything that can be used on msx1/2 too?

Here we are! it is next year. Here are Pouet and live youtube. Z80 & AY power ;) shared by cousins...

Truly outstanding. My jaw fell to the floor. MSX hasn't seen anything like this, I think. The CPC looks like an interesting piece of hardware! If I'd 3 thumbs, you'd get 3 thumbs up, but I've only got 2. ;)

Thanks to all for your nice words.
About same kind of fx: watch again demos from Bandwagon on MSX1 - similar trick.
That said, same quality of fx (and possibly better one) could be done on MSX2: watch the tricks explained in the making-of and get inspired to code them on your beloved computer!

Really interesting read Overflow! It may be tricks, but very clever tricks. Inventing those tricks is very creative and an art.

The MSX scene has produced lots of homebrew games since the 90's, what about the CPC scene? (Just curious)

@Thom
According to CPC-power, number of released games by year.
2010 > 8
2011 > 7
2012 > 12
2013 > 34 --> CPCretrodev 1st edition
2014 > 37
2015 > 49
2016 > 82 --> 34 games at CPCretrodev
Also much buzz about Pinball Dreams preview.
Conclusion is: there is some revival about homebrew on CPC.

Hi Overflow,
I'm curious, where are those releases coming from? I know Amstrad/CPC was quite popular in France, not sure about other countries?

@Louthrax
IINM: Spain, then UK and France. This should not be a surprise: the 3 countries where sales were quite high for Amstrad.
It seems (to me) that Spain has the strongest CPC community and release many games.
Spain might also be the 1st country for retro-gaming & retro-computer nowadays!?
Just watch: CPCretrodev is held by a university in Spain - and release their games on tape - and has prizes - kudos to them!

Yeah, RetroMadrid today really seemed super-crowded ! (was not there but received some pictures from Xavirompe / Rookie Drive creator). Wish we had the same thing in France. Our next vacations will be Spain in April next year Smile
