I know that this program exist (not sure the status), but I don't find any information related on the net. I would like to find a substitute of Graphsaurus so my question is, has AGE8 been declared freeware? Is it available somewhere?

Thank you Meits. Hi RetroTechie could you help me? What is the status of age8? If the program is not freeware no problem, I would buy it if possible.

The person(s) to ask would be Olaf Benneker, Frits Hilderink, and -perhaps- Herman Post. Olaf & Frits were the programmers that did projects like AGE8 back in the day, Herman helped out sometimes too. In this club I used my soldering iron more than programming reference books... Smile2

But it's been a looooonnnng time since I've had any contact with either of these guys. So I have no contact details & don't think any of them is still active on forums like this.

I don't think they would mind if AGE8 was shared freely these days. But otoh, I simply don't know and wouldn't want to be the 'leak' in case they do mind. And I don't have any original(s) to sell, only an archived copy. I'd try a few things:

  • Google some more till you get lucky.
  • Put out a Want To Buy in sales section on this site.
  • Keep an eye out on eBay etc, or a retro game fair if you (or a friend?) happen to visit one.

No reason you couldn't do all the above simultaneous. Wink

OK, it took a little time, but today I received a message back from Frits. According to him, AGE8 was indeed made by Olaf Benneker and that we should contact him about the availability of AGE8. Frits hasn't been in contact with him for a long time and suggests to contact him through LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/olaf-benneker-450a1427/?ppe=1)
Since I also don't know Olaf personally, I will leave this to you guys :)

LOL... I just did the same ;-)
Anyway... for those interested: it's not the original, but I have just added a cracked version to my download-site. Then at least we have something.
