Try that version:

I a little reduce CALLs to avoid making bigger the stack, and a little optimized the interrupt routine. With luck, maybe it works.

Sorry for the delay in responding -- been a busy couple days.

I had a little time to test this out, and unfortunately, there was no noticeable improvement. I was hopeful at first, as I made it all the way to the second screen and even played a bit into it before the first freeze happened, but then the freezes came one after another. And when I reset the system, I was getting freezes on the first screen again too. And confirmed this happens even if I boot with Ctrl held down to free up some extra memory.

Sorry, I made a mistake by changing the interrupt routine. I hope it works now. This is the last chance.

'Fraid that's a no as well -- it still freezes constantly.

Thanks for trying, though! Looks like my best bet for playing this game on my WX is to use 5.37MHz mode. The game plays very slightly faster than intended, but it doesn't freeze at all, so I feel that's a fair tradeoff.

Appreciate all the help I've gotten in this topic, though!
