"Toki Meki Knightmare"? Looks interesting. You seem to be playing with Aphrodite now. I wonder what's up with the music slowing down now and then.

All info about this PC "missing link" between Knightmare and Maze of Galious :

http://www.nodus.ne.jp/ghost/msx/knight.html

Unfortunaly, for some reason, the official download has been removed, and for some other reason, I know that the game is not compatible with recent Windows versions (it works on 98, probably not on XP in most cases, not at all on Vista and higher) .... I guess it's a problem with the video driver used by the game.

Anyway, it's very good to have found this video ... We know finally that this game is more difficult than Knightmare and includes references to Maze of Galious such the items to collect and the end part.

It seems to adhere to MSX1 limits... weird.

It's called 'Tokimeki Knightmare' (as your link says)

here are scans of the cover:

Yeah, it's by the person that made Volcabamba. Are you sure it doesn't work on newer Windows versions? I have downloaded Tokimeki Knightmare a long time ago, and it still works fine here, using Win7/64.

I had downloaded it from MegaUpload and directly after launching, the window of the game closes itself. Tested on a laptop with Win7-64. But no any problem with Manesis'99 or Volcabamba.

Found this from the author:

"Takamichi Suzukawa Tue, 17 Jul 2001 09:09:35 -0700

Konami clones, Manesis and Tokimeki Knightmare developed by Gyonin are no
longer downloadable from http://www.alles.or.jp/~gyonin/game.htm .
According to announcement some time before, Konami directly threatened
Gyonin to stop distribution. I still have them, by the way.

Takamichi"

BTW: I wouldn't mind this game myself guys ;)

By doing that, Konami has killed a big part of the homebrew Japanese scene. There are other examples such as Compile/Aiky and the result is always deep demotivation of homebrew coders and fans. Something like a second MSX death.
