I just discovered there exist the following MSX-BASIC compilers:
- BASIC Compiler for MSX 64k by Soft West: http://www.generation-msx.nl/software/soft-west/basic-compil...
- BASIC Compiler by Heart Soft: http://www.generation-msx.nl/software/heart-soft/basic-compi...

Next to the ones I already knew:
- MCBC (by Adriaan van Doorn)
- Mozart BASIC (not in Generation MSX!) See https://www.msx.org/forum/development/msx-development/questi... Apparently by MSX Club Gouda? Or at least they seem to have distributed it.

And this one I probably knew but forgot about:
- SOLiD VBasic, version 2.7 (by Egor Voznessenski) see https://www.msx.org/downloads/solid-vbasic

Who has experience with the top 2? Are they of any use?

Which ones of these are good anyway?

As far as I know, here in the NL, people only used Basic Kun (which does not do a 'real' compilation to a destination file) and MCBC. So I have no idea how good/useful the others are. Please share your experiences!

Despite not saving to disk, Basic-kun still belongs in that list imo…

I myself only ever used Basic-kun and MCBC (in a very distant past, and MCBC only once or twice).

i'm surprised of the availibility of all those compilers. Are there disk images around the internet?. I like to test all compilers to get a impression of how they are good.
As for majority i've only heard of xbasic. and effectively the big drawback is the dependence with the basic interpreter.
however xbasic do a very good job in boosting the speed and the generated code is fast enough to be comparable with 'msx-C' .
How those others compilers do the job?
