If you want we can try to make a Poll about the MSX1 game you wish to have in a MSX2 version.
We saw gems like Goonies 'r' Good Enough, Alien 8 etc.
Each of us could make his personal list of 3, from the most wanted to the less one.
This is mine.

1) Astro Marine Corps by Dinamic
2) Hype
3) Knightmare

What about yours ?

Knightmare would be something like Blue Warrior.
MoG would be something like Sir Dan.

Wouldn't it?

Knightmare Gold from Daniel Caetano could be imagined as how it would be Knightmare if Konami had written it for MSX2, I think. It has, among other things (text below came directly from author's homepage):

1) No more sprite flickering (need MSX2)
2) Smooth Scroll (need at least an MSX2 with 7MHz (60Hz machines). It will work on MSX2 3.57MHz (50Hz machines))
3) River water animation on all stages - doesn't require MSX2!)
4) Dynamic palette, each stage has its own, so it could look beter... (need MSX2) ...or you can use static "Cool Colors" by Fábio Ricardo Schmidlin. (need MSX2).
5) When using Dynamic Palette mode, all stages received redesigned patterns using extra colors and improving the game visual experience. (need MSX2)
6) When using Dynamic Palette mode, every stage boss was redesigned, using extra colors and improving the game visual experience. Some bosses do not need dynamic palette to be improved. (need MSX2)
7) New "Easy Mode", for those that never finished the game, where the player need to be touched 4 times before dying.
8) New Konami logo (MSX2 style, colored like SNES one), in screen 5 (need MSX2)
9) New animated opening screen, in screen 5 (need MSX2)
10) CD Quality game music (sequenced by Pablo V.B. Villalba, need Sunrise IDE + CDROM - doesn't require MSX2!) SCC game music on computers with SCC or SCC+ connected.
11) New tunes to the game, when playing from CD.

If you never tried it before and you have a IDE, I recomend that you download it and burn a CD with it (you will need a real MSX to play it because there are no emulators that support CD audio until now, and without the audio CD you miss a lot of the experience of playing this game in this new version. Big smile )

I stand correct about my remark about Knightmare Gold being what Konami would do in a hypothetic MSX2 version: At that time there wasn't CD-ROM available to MSX, so I believe the work of Daniel, Pablo and others is BETTER than what Konami could have done at that time. Smile
