Works on a VG8020/00 with musicmodule. Seems a bit low on volume though??

@Wicracks:Iike I said before is better if you connect the music module audio output to an amplifier..
I would like to see your computer setup if you don't mind?

Sure. VG8020/00 with audio input in the Sony Monitor. About the volume it was only a question.
Looking at the screen is an issue in this setup. :-)

Good news I have decided to make a new intro of our beloved Operation Wolf my easy approach will be using Dual Music Module One in charged of playing long ADPCM SAMPLE from captured Intro ARCADE Music and the other Audio Module will be in charged of the DIGITALIZED ARCADE SFX for the same intro.
also I have decided to use Tursi's Convert9918 Half-Multicolor MODE

check this picture why:

This the snapshot captured with MameDebug and 8 colors reduced via Deluxe Paint IV:

P.S: We can replace the second Audio Module if somebody can address me a good routine for playing WAV SAMPLES through PSG.

PSG sample playing ingame will not work z80 is too slow.

check this video:

Maybe rewrite the music and use the sound generator in the musicmodule?

That only works because the video display code is very tightly intertwined with the sample playback. Only good for demos, it is not possible to make general purpose PSG sample playing code that plays in the background.

Imagine, for a 8000 Hz sample, every 447 cycles you need to OUT something to the PSG, but how do you know when 447 cycles have passed? There is no standard interrupt of that resolution, so the only way to do it is by timing precisely with the CPU, whatever the CPU does it needs to stop after every 400 or so cycles and call the sample player. And that’s why it can’t be general purpose. In the waves demo it’s probably like “draw a line of graphics (for 400 cycles), output sample, draw next line of graphics (again 400 cycles), output sample, …” etc.
