I am trying to get monsoon music out of PA3 with my monsoon clone FM Blaster but PA3 start playing my MSX Uadio (Music Module) and MSX Music instead of the monsoon. I tried the Moonsound also with demos and that works fine.

Do I need a setting somewhere in PA3 or something?

Strange, I've tried openmsx.
PA3 works perfectly with moonsound.
turbo R with moonsound gives moonsound music
NMS 8250 with fm-pac and moonsound, now fm-pac is used first, so no moonsound.
Could it be your moonsound is in the wrong slot ?

It is in a slotexpander on my Turbo R. Could there be a wrong slot?

Well, I guess, the way the game is programmed it first searches for fm-pac.

MoonSound is an entirely I/O port based device, so it doesn’t matter in what slot it is or whether it is in a slotexpander.

I'm having the same problem. I'm using a Philips VG 8235 and the FM Blaster. I don't get any sound.

Does it work with other software?

Yes, so far PA3 is the only game that stays silent.

I've got a moonsound in a slotexpander in my turbo r.
I hear moonsound in PA3... Same goes for my FM Blaster and my Dal-So-Ri.

Does anybody know how much RAM PA3 needs to work with Moonsound?

Captain Past: do you get FM (MSX-MUSIC) sound or nothing at all? (If you have the means to test that...)

Ah, according to an old review, you need 16kB extra RAM to support MoonSound... so with just 128kB you don't get MoonSound music.
