Platform puzzler with a twist

The other night I attended the Retro Gaming Nacht which was held at a local hackerspace. Came across a very nice game released for the Atari 8-bit, called Ridiculous Reality.

Announcement and some screenshots

It's a basic "collect the keys & find exit" platformer, with the (AFAIK very original) twist that in order to succeed, you must re-arrange the game map slide-puzzle style. People who dig King's Valley 2 are sure to like it. I'd almost permanently install an Atari emulator on my machine in order to continue where I left off...

How cool would it be to have this on the MSX? Technically it would seem possible I guess (using MSX1 character mode, or -perhaps- smart block copying in say, screen 5 on the MSX2).

Btw. the event was good fun - well attended, many systems (including a couple original Pong consoles, a Vectrex), and my ZX81 was well appreciated. The only MSX I saw (a Philips 8220 with Designer ROM still inside), hardly saw any use though...

And certainly doable.

This looks like "Miner Willy meets Crazy Train!" Smile No stuff to pick-up though, and no enemies?

Just keys... I didn't see source code available, but perhaps developer would be friendly towards a serious porting attempt? Question

Graphics & game maps should be easy to rip, music would be more difficult since the Atari has different sound hardware than MSX. Of course porting any game is a lot of work, but I think it is do-able given enough effort.

It looks a lot like two flash games: Five (http://armorgames.com/play/12770/five) and Continuity (http://www.kongregate.com/games/glimajr/continuity)
