Iirc the english patch makes the game "harddisk friendly" so you don't have to flash it anymore, but run it straight from the prompt. Though, after trying the patch on loads of differently hashed disks and several versions patched by other guys I never got a bug free result, so I gave up on the English version.
It's either too complex, too full of options or too picky.

Thanks for your help.
I have some more problems...
First, i still don't understand why king and balloon doesn't recognize any inputs, and also I've tried out Golvellius 2, both english patched and unpatched in japanese, but it hangs on the title screen after choosing new game or continue.

I have tested that game and works fine here. Are you using a working ROM? Have you tried it on a emulator to check if you have the same problem?

Golvellius 2 does not seem to work with more than one memory mapper. So if your MFD SD has the 512KB RAM, disable them from recovery menu.
Also, you can load the game using the old DSK emulation method (OPFXSD GOLV2.FD2 /D1) and it should work fine.

Second (Flash DSK on MFR)

Move the cursor to the files and press "GRAPH" key

Thank you posting the "graph" key function of the MFR. I was having issues with Valis II (dsk) when attempting to run off the SD card (1st method). This will definitely help with other disk games I thought were bad files or incompatible.

MSX.org seems to be the first, last and only hope for MSX knowledge... at least for English speakers.
