See this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMYogTrD1So

I also found this game somewhere online. There's "Major" and "Major2". Are these 2 separate games?

They seem to be really great MSX1 platform games!

Who can tell me more about them? I'd like to add them to Generation MSX as well.

Some texts extracted from the game files:
majp.spr
majp.lib
majpx.spr
majpx.lib
majp.mub
majp.mub
mub?
majp.mnt
PISTOLETOV IS LOADING...
majpx.mnt
A.R.

A.R. Crazysoft seems to be the creators... PISTOLETOV is the 2nd word of the title (translated as Gunoff in that YT video).

Can someone provide the Russian name of the first game? (Title mentioned in the thread title here is apparently of the 2nd game.)

And for the second game: http://www.generation-msx.nl/software/ar-crazysoft/nnctoneto...

Please let me know about any corrections, especially the release media.

More info here: http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?act=url&d...

(Google translated article about Andrey Rodionov, hence A.R.!)
Apparently Marat saved his games online: http://fms.komkon.org/MSX/Rodionov.zip

The release was just a few files that people were copying from disk to disk... So I think to use DISK as the media (as it is now) is the right choice.

And this is how I would translate the titles of the games:

Major Pistol. Episode 1: "Kaschey".
Episode 2: Major Pistol at the Factory.

PS: I guess is the good idea to translate this game to English ;)

It seems that everything that is included in the majp.mnt file.

I patched this games to remove the click sound of keys. I also have a Russian Tetris II.

Do you know "Return To Earth - Version of The Star Track Game", a others games from Crazysoft ?
It would be nice to also translate this game.

Max and gdx: thanks for your response.

@max: What is "Kaschey" anyway? About the title translations, I had the idea to keep it like it is on the screen, that would for the 2nd game be more like: Pistol at the Factory - episode 2. (It doesn't say Major there.) Do you agree?

How did Andrey release it initially? Copy to friends? Upload to BBS?

And yes, a translation would be useful, especially for Return to Earth. I don't understand anything of that game. But also for Major Pistol some translation would be welcome, because I don't fully understand what all items do and what the controls are in detail.

gdx: are there other known games from A.R.?

I added an entry for the Return to Earth game too: http://www.generation-msx.nl/software/ar-crazysoft/return-to...
Any comments on that entry? Is the title translated correctly?

The meaning of "Koschei".

BTW, these games are available from the main fMSX page since zillion years ago.

Also, Andrei Rodionov & Boris Tikhomirov are authors of vynil album "512 KBYTES" that was released in USSR.
They composed music for it using 2 Yamaha YIS805/128R with SFG-05 modules.
(look for "512 KBYTES" on YouTube if you want to listen).

I found another game from A. R. Crazysoft:

https://disk.yandex.com/public/?hash=4zAir1YUzejLlfK9zByCcu1...

What do you think of following titles?

Major Pistols 1 - Kashchey
Major Pistols 2 - At The Factory
Return To Earth - The Star Track Game
Tantsroid

Pistols with or without the 's'?

CAX gave you the very right link about "Kaschey". But please note there it spelled with "O", but in the game with "A". So this is why I wrote it this way and I think it most closely represent the way it sound in Russian.

Yes, I agree with "Pistol at the Factory - episode 2".

Copy to friends yes, BBS - not really. Most of the games was copied on Computer Olympiads or when people travelled from city to city. Also his games was distributed trough educational channels, I think. In "Return to Earth" it says on top "developed by request of Ministry of Defence", but I think he added just for fun ;)

About "Return to Earth". I don't see anywhere the mentioning of Star Trek. So I would remove this part.
