I acquired this game in the 1980s. It came in a 4-pack with Valkyr, Gunfright and Bounder.
Grog's Revenge was so difficult and exciting that I never got pas the first levels.

Recently I played with an emulator with the fortunate option to save at every moment. But I never managed to find the last path to the End of the Game. Walkthroughs of clips of other computer versions are scarce and haven't helped.

Does anyone have a clue?

I remember that back in the day I had no idea how to play Grogs Revenge! I loaded it every once in a while just because I had bought it, and just to see if I could advance, but never got anywhere!

I guess it's time to give it another try! Big smile

The game can be beat. I finished it. Some tunnels go to a different place when you go in and come out and go back in again. Perhaps you didn't know that... I made a map once on paper but don't know where that is...

I was thinking about this one, but glad that you seem to confirm that :-).... I also made a map, but did not explicitly consider going back in again for every cave.

Anyway, imagine figuring this out with the original game and the limited amount of lives, and Grog on your heels.....

Seriously, something is up with Level F. I keep moving in circles. There's only 2 cave entries that I have access to, but they seem to be just connected to each others, no matter how many times I enter them. Help would be appreciated.

Here's the map that I drew:

I recorded a video of Level F, so you can see for yourself what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqCtGLxVwmk

Anyone who can help me get unstuck will get their name credited in the playthrough video of this game. The part showed in 1:53-2:00 and 2:26-2:32 is what's really strange to me. Is the game supposed to do that?

Okay, one more bump from me. I looked at the playthrough of the Commodore 64 version of the game and there is indeed something wrong with the MSX version's Level F, not letting you make progress.

Is the game bugged or do I just have bad dumps of the game?

Copy protection?

Good guess, but I don't think it's a copy-protection. Happens so late in the game.

If anyone wants to try to find a solution to this problem, you can go to Level F rather easily with these warp codes:
- When inside Level A's 1st cave, type 22 (warps you to Level B)
- When Inside Level B's 1st cave, type 23 (warps you to Level C)
- When inside Level C's 1st cave, type 44 (warps you to Level D)
- In the beginning of Level D: Move right, turn around the corner, move right, turn around the corner, enter cave, enter it again and type 45 when inside (warps you to Level E)
- In the beginning of Level E: Move right, turn around the corner, enter cave, enter it again and type 62 when inside (warps you to Level F)
