Does any of you have a working/adjusted MSX-DOS version of the HiTech compiler?

It seems that the default HiTech versions hangs while trying to compile something. Seen a lot of adaptations for the msx but it's all a bit fragmented on the internet now a days. Anyone having a working set of .com files?

I've only used the CP/M version with a CP/M emulator under Linux. That worked, but had some limitations (e.g. the maximum amount of command line parameters).

I used HiTech-C a while back for some small MSX-DOS2 projects. I used it on a Philips VG8235 with 1M of RAM (not that it used all that) and never encountered any hanging. C.COM has version nr. 3.09.

I contains a readme file (LEES.MIJ) in Dutch by Pierre Gielen from 1993 than claims it is the second version of C.COM since the first one contained an error "een foutje". Unsure what he means, but if you don't have this readme file perhaps I should send you the C.COM.

What version do you have?

I too have version 3.09 but it was the original HiTech version which is not 100% compatible with the msx system. In the meantime I have a lot of different versions that also should be msx compatible but now I first have to figure out what is working and what not.

Thanks for the link. It seems that he did rebuild the whole HiTech version so it can work with a linker tool, this version will need some time to examine. first want to try to get the original tooling working.
