Stumbled onto this by accident, just thought I should share the link and also ask if anyone happen to have read the article?

"The system consists of an 8 bit personal computer (MSX or MSX2) with 3.5 in. floppy-disk drive and 64 kB RAM, an adaptor for the English speech training system, a headset, a textbook and model speech disk, and an RGB color monitor. The adaptor consists of a speech memory RAM, a basic program ROM, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters, an interface, and a speech-signal amplifier."

Maybe this device is the (National) Panasonic WE-F450 Speech Trainer.
I own it but not investigated, yet.
It's extremely rare, but Takamichi thinks that many Japanese schools already own it.
It's showed into University of Osaka museum.
