ESE-RAM and ESE-SCC with the DOS2 kernel installed in them are basically the same thing as a MEGASCSI (WAVESCSI if with SCC as megarom chip) without the SCSI controller.

They can have the DOS2 kernel installed in them (MGINST) exactly like you do with the MEGASCSI and they will operate as a DOS2 cartridge with the benefit of giving you a SRAM based drive. So if you have a 1MB ESE-RAM, you can use it as drive with your basic DOS/DOS2 files.

Very useful, even if you don't plan to game with it.
