Hi!

I need help buying a game at marktplaats.nl that I can't find anywhere else. Would anyone that lives in the netherlands be willing to help me out for a comission fee? It is just one MSX game, you buy it from there, I buy it from you, I'll pay for all the shipping plus an extra for your trouble. If anyone is interested, please PM me.

I have references on ebay, 100% positive feedback, I'm a serious buyer.

Thank you!

And which game is it, that is so special that it can only be found on Marktplaats.nl ? (and not on Dutch section of eBay) Question

btw. you are aware that you can do worldwide searches on eBay, find items in, or available for specific areas, or even find stuff on 'national eBay sites' (by logging in there) ? Or even sidestep eBay search by Googling your desired item? Because it would seem strange to me for something to be available on Marktplaats.nl, but not on eBay.nl. Sure these are different sites, with different offerings and audiences, but "not available" is a big word when talking about eBay... Big smile

that would be comic bakery for the msx. Keep in mind that by anywhere else, I really mean that. Just to give you an idea I've been monitoring the following sites for the last 6 months: ebay worldwide, uk, nl, es, it, our very msx.org, rising stuff, digit press, gametraderzones, shmup forums, marktplaats and several other forums and groups with no luck. I've actually found one on ebay, but the owner is asking $620 (WTF) for it. The other copy I've found is on marktplaats.nl. So my posting asking for help is a last resort type of thing. Thanks for the input anyway, I appreciate the interest to help me out very much. Smile

Comic Bakery shouldn't be more expensive than about 20 euros, if it's complete and in good condition. Don't get screwed over this! Smile

I'm guessing you mean this one ?

Offer currently stands at 40 Euro, which IMHO is more than it's worth already. If you top that, and shipping to Brazil, you'd get to... what? 60+ Euro total?

If you really think that's worth it to you, I suggest you create a login at Marktplaats.nl (use Google translate to help if needed), and place a bid for yourself. You can contact seller yourself (most Dutch do fine in English language) if you have any questions about what's offered, or if shipping to Brazil is an option. To be frank, I don't really understand why you would need the help of a 3rd party here. What can a 3rd party do that seller itself can't (or won't) ?

The seller doesn't respond to any of the offers made (and I made some real good ones). Neither does he reply to e-mail so your efforts will be most likely in vain.

Agreed, but I can't find it anywhere, I've posted on every forum I could find, I look almost daily at all the auctions sites including yahoo japan and so far no luck finding one. (well there is one guy on ebay asking $620 for it LOL and there is the one I've found at marktplaats, but I don't think that will go anywhere)

Do you have one? Would you like to sell it to me? Smile

I've tried all the normal channels already with no luck (including email the guy directly) At this point I doubt the game is still available, somebody told me marktplaats does not remove sold items automatically and is not as serious as ebay, so I think I am at a lost there.

If seller doesn't even respond to your inquiries, then I'd be very reluctant to volunteer as 3rd party. And you're probably better off not dealing with such a seller, PERIOD.

True - Marktplaats.nl is not an auction site like eBay, but a way for buyers & sellers to find each other (#1 second-hand site in the NL). Both seller & buyer have no obligation to go through with the deal, so it often happens that either backs down at last minute. Or a highest offer stands for months, and then the item is sold to a buyer that suddenly pops in and offers 1 Euro more. Crazy And because of all this, Marktplaats.nl has no way of knowing whether items have been sold or not.

A very different experience, sometimes annoying but not really a problem as long as you are aware of this. Personally I think it's a good site for items that you are in no hurry to get rid off, and prefer to sell locally. Like meet in person, cash & carry, done.

Yes, no.

Be patient and you'll find it.
