Hi HansO, any good beginner books about MSX Basic in English? Was looking at the one by Albert Sickler, but from what I can see it is not in English.

The Complete PRogrammers Guide is quite good, though it is MSX 1.

Thanks Hans, I'll definitely keep that in mind. I don't mind starting with learning BASIC for MSX 1, although ultimately if I were to start doing graphics and sprites for a game, I'd probably be shooting for MSX2 or MSX2+.

I'm sure starting out with MSX 1 BASIC programming would give me a pretty solid foundation of how to at least learn how to do collision detection and character movement, which is mainly my main goal since I would just want to see how my sprites can move and interact with one another. I'll give it some thought. Unfortunately, that MSX Machine Code for Beginners ended up being way over my head and I think the reason being that it compared everything to BASIC commands and procedures of which I haven't learned yet, so I was hoping to find a beginner level programming book for MSX Basic now. : )
