yeah we used to use some pci ones on the pc back in the day and the stopped at the error and gave a code you looed up, then you could push a button to step on to next test

Hi Alexey,
I think I can do a first version of that ROM.
do you mean something like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihyKErwiy5k

When you have the first ROM prototype ready, I will send you the assembled cartridge with a socketed EEPROM for free.

Hey, any progress with the test ROM?

I have finished the Small Game Cartridge project by creating the reprogrammable cartridge, the adapter board and the conversion software. More info here:

https://www.msx.org/forum/msx-talk/hardware/sgc-reprogrammable

Once there's a first version of the ROM that does at least one test, I can send you the reprogrammable kit for further ROM development and testing.

Yes, I have 9 adapter boards and more than 10 cartridge boards. The amount of slots and EEPROMs is limited.

Hi Alex, received the boards and adapter thank you, Just two questions
I have received two capacitors for each board, one appears to be 2,2 uf the other is unnown I believe it's the 100nf, on board one is labeled 10uf should I put in here the 2.2 uf ?

I know the CS1,CS2,CS12, RD jumpers have to be set as for rom size but what's the use for the jp5, jp6 jp7 ? (B1,B2,B12)

The best way is to solder the RD and B12 jumpers - this gives you pretty much universal configuration. You can convert the ROMs using the utility that I created:

https://github.com/Wierzbowsky/SGC_ImageCreator

The 2.2uF capacitors should be installed instead of 10uF. Seems that the EEPROM programmer doesn't like 10uF capacitors and falsely detects a fault. But with 2.2uF capacitors at least my TL866 worked. The unlabeled capacitors are 100nF.

Ok, and what exactly are the B jumpers used for ?

For selecting first or second part of a 64kb chip. B1 connects A15 to the ground and B2 connects it to power. Or vice versa, can't check now. If you use something else than B12 (direct connection of EEPROM to A15), then you programmer may be confused and will refuse to reprogram the chip.
