Wanted: Eur MSX1 with Toshiba VDP (eg. Sony HB10/20)

I'm not trading or collecting, this is for a (subjective) good cause: reverse engineering this chip so emulators can add support for it. It won't be collecting dust in my attic. Anyone willing to sell one for a sane price? like, 20 euros + shipping. If power/video connectors are non-standard, I'd need cables too. I don't need a box or manual.

Quick test to confirm it's got the Toshiba T6950:

10 color15,4,1:screen2:vdp(3)=159:vdp(4)=0
20 line(50,30)-(200,50),15,bf: rem if you see only ONE horizontal white bar, it's a Toshiba

Yeah .. Maybe one of your leftover European MSX1s has a Toshiba T6950 VDP: it wasn't just used in Sony HB10/20, you're willing to test? Also, I've read that (some?) Gradiente Expert contain a Toshiba T7937A, so, there's possibly 2 of your MSXes I might be interested in.

I've just run the test script in my Toshiba HX-20 and it's shows only one line. And, I can confirm that inside it has the 'compatible' toshiba VDP because I've seen it

I think that HX-10 also has the Thoshiba chip, and I've found this Item: eBay

Yeah, the HX-20 has a T6950, it's a rare machine though. The more common HX-10 has a standard TMS9xxx.

- Daewoo DPC-200
- Mitshubishi ML-F80
- Goldstar FC-200 (black one)
- Sanyo MPC-100 (the one on eBay)
If you said 6 types, I'd add the JVC and the other Goldstar too.

Some Arab MSXes are known to have a Toshiba VDP too, same for the Gradiente Expert stuff, but I don't think you'll sell those for a small price?

*edit* a 'positive' result for that VDP test is 1 horizontal bar btw. 3 means it's a TMS VDP.
