In a rather disheartening turn of events, it seems DHL either delivered my package to the wrong address, or has lied about delivering it. It's listed as having been dropped of yesterday, Aug. 4th at 18:09, when no one who was at home received a knock at all. I'm going to call later and see what's up, but it seems likely that I'll have to order a new batch of boards. I won't increase the prices, though it does suck very much to be out as much money as I am right now. The connectors arrived fine and the cables haven't gotten here yet.

Sometimes they drop the package at the neighbors. Ask around please.

Yeah, that could happen. Can you check the name of who signed it? It might give you a clue where it is.

Not possible. I submitted a signature release form so no one would have to sign since I knew I wouldn't be home. Not doing that ever again. They pretty much just left it on someone else's doorstep, and whoever recieved it hasn't cone by to drop it off themselves or called me (ph. # is on the label).

This is terrible! I've had problems with couriers recently. One item was Hermes tracked. It was sent to the wrong address just four doors away, because someone copied out my address deleting a number from the first line, as well as moving a number from the second line and putting it at the beginning of the first line. It seems this number on the second line may be the official address, but the number doesn't appear on my block. In future I think I'll only use the first number. If you have two numbers like this in your address, then if you swap them round that may tell you where it was delivered. My package was rejected by my neighbours, but then the courier said it had been signed for and delivered. It somehow got totally lost, then eBay refunded my money.

HAH

THE ADAPTERS ARE HERE
If everyone wants, I'll start a new thread for them once I get them all put together.

EDIT: Due to a mismeasurement, the adapters will not properly fit in a standard cartridge shell, the holes are too large and one is too far up by about 1/2mm. Hopefully this isn't too big of an issue, but if it is, I apologize. Other than that, none of the pins short, the cables are nice and flexible, and extreme* movements won't ruin the connection, not that you'll be swinging the MSX or cartridge around. Perhaps I'll redesign the MSX side boards so they can fit into proper cart shells, also I'll add a switch to the sound line to selectively isolate the PSG and OPM/P from each other if you choose to.

*(some connection of the D/A connections are lost if you push down on the SFG connector board so it plays wrong notes, but again, why would you do that?)

That’s a good addition I think. Since the OPM is stereo and the PSG mono, the only way you can enjoy OPM + PSG sound properly in stereo is by indeed making the SFG stop outputting to the MSX. I did it myself by desoldering an audio airwire inside the unit, but a switch on the adapter is of course a much nicer solution.

I think it would be best if someone takes the lead and gets a batch of those connectors from Brasil and sends them within EU. Then the shipment will be way cheaper for each of us. For example from Germany the shipment in a bubbled envelope costs 3.70 + 0.60 (envelope).

This may be serious for me. I will have to use the bare rear cartridge port connector, which isn't surrounded by anything like a proper cartridge port, on my Philips VG-8235 MSX2 to connect either the FM Module or some cartridge software. Of course, an adapter to turn it into a proper cartridge port was sold years ago.

II've never heard of the abbreviation OPM/P before. I assume you mean the SFG-01 FM sound module.

BTW, I have now had one of the two CX5M units I bought delivered by a courier called APC. It contains the all important PSU. This is a whole week late, due to lack of communication. They claimed that when they tried to deliver it a week ago, there was no answer from the entry phone into the block. This time, they didn't even press the entry phone, but somehow got to my front door. I haven't set up or turned on the CX5M yet, but I have seen a video the seller said she made of this CX5M actually working.
