Anyone have the first version of the MegaFlashROM SCC (the one that uses OPF.COM and has an original SCC chip) and wants to sell it?

If you have a Konami game with an SCC they're not really hard to make if you're comfortable with a soldering iron.
In case it's a bit too scary for you, there probably is somebody out there willing to do it for you.

The above only in case nobody (just like me) feels like parting with such a cartridge Wink

Hi sdsnatcher73,

There are other options to disable a game inside an SCC game, which do not involve soldering. See BiFi's page here: http://bifi.msxnet.org/msxnet/tech/switch

I find that using a cello tape to knock out the pin works best, makes no damage to the cart, and is easy to reverse :-).

I thought the original MFR contained some RAM to load a game into?

It does. The game rom is replaced by a flashrom.

I would like to play the SCC ROMs with the original chip. I don't know of a way to load the ROM into system RAM and redirect the SCC to slot 1 or 2. Of course the versions on disks we used 'back in the day' do this. But than you can't run recent enhanced versions of the ROMs. This is why I would prefer to use a flash chip on the same cart as the original SCC.

Or is there a way (unknown to me so far) that could accomplish this?

You can try the "external SCC" option with SofaRun / SofaROM.

Sofarun will only work if there are enough pages of RAM, a 128k MSX2 will not run a 128k ROM
