Hello MSX friends,

I was wondering what the best route is to buy a new MSX computer which has some of the modern standards (USB/HDMI). What would be my best option? I'm mainly interested in using cartridges.

Thanks in advance! -ashame Cool

It's already in production. Just my luck! :x

Email them. I'm pretty sure they will get you on the list and get your reservation started.

Also 8bits4ever has a thread going about a new console they are working on. SX-1 i believe its called.

The SM-X is the most complete MSX at the moment. It comes with HDMI, three cartridge slots, a bigger FPGA.
Very nice machine, worth the money!

8bits4ever offers three machines; A Zemix clone; the SX-1, a modern MSX on a mini ATX board and the SX-1 mini, a MSX with a very small footprint. For the future they planning a FPGA keyboard computer, too.

Oh wow. Still so much love for this machine! I kinda fell in love with the MSXVR. It reminds me so much more of the old days!

If it comes with a case like that, it definitely does win in the style category. Looks like a period authentic MSX. The downside is that it appears to be software only emulation.

To me it seems to run like a real MSX. Most importantly is that I want a user friendly MSX without extra peripherals. This seems the correct package for me!
