Finally got my first Turbo R A1-GT - it is an unreal feeling! It's like I got all the power in my hands!
I have so much to do that I don't know what to do. It certainly isn't very easy to look those manuals with all the kanjis around, so I'd be more than thankful for all the beginners tips on how to use this machine.

Congratulations with your FS-A1GT! First two tips 1. Press "1" during startup and you are in DOS1/Z80 mode. 2. Press "ESC" during startup and the clockchip of the MSX turbo R will be erased in case you want to go to the factory default.
What do you want to do with it?
You can start by using it as a regular MSX machine that runs also turboR software...
Thanks for the tips!
Well, I guess for start I'll use it like a regular MSX running Turbo stuff. I tried the R800 mode (POKE &HF346,1EFUSR=&H180:A=USR(0):_SYSTEM) from basic to few games, and the speed was noticeable compared to my earlier experiences with MSX2 machines. Is the Msx-Music always sounding a little corrupted using this trick? I guess that's pretty big downside for using this mode. Why does then the games with only Psg or Scc sound normal (like MGS2 or YS3)?
If I click MSXDOS2 from the opening firmaware (Msx view?), it won't open and some japanese message comes with it (like blocked request or something not viewable?). Is this normal behaviour?

Another tip: disable keyclick sound by the following command in MSX-BASIC:
Screen 0,,0: Set screen
To restore keyclick:
Screen 0,,1: Set screen
This works for the other MSX models as well...
Another tips? Maybe we can add a seperated thread for tips and tricks?
