Hi!

I'm in need of a:

  • Working YM2413 (DIP packaged)
  • Flashed 27c512

As you may guess, this is for the F4/FMPAC board Smile

I can find several YM2413 providers, usually in lots of 10. But I really need only one (maybe another spare), but it should work... so I figured someone may have ordered a lot, and have some left overs? If not, anyone know of a good provider that sends usually working chips? Also, if someone is interested to a joint order, mention your interesets here (I'm situated in Oulu, Finland).

I'd also like to install the ROM later, but don't want to buy a FLASH/EPROM programmer. Can anyone sell a flahed chip for me? Alternatively, are there any cheap hobbyist-grade flashers out there I might want to invest i? It should justify it's price, considering I've only had the need to flash ~3 chips to date in ten years, and I don't think the needed chip flashing frequency will increase in the future Tongue

After I finished assembling all the boards for myself, I still have a few leftovers:

- two working YM2413 chips in DIP case
- two pre-programmed OTP 27c512 chips that I used for experiments with full FMPAC bios
- one 27c128 chip with external fmpac bios that will work on that board
- a few 4558 amplifier chips in DIP case
- tantalum or electrolythic smd capacitors for this board
- sockets for all chips on this board: DIP and PLCC32

The EPROMs you get for free if you buy some of my leftovers. Basically I can offer you a full set of components for this board except Z80. Even chip resistors, capacitors and jumper pins. I am done with those boards - all my Yamahas have them. Smile

Hi Alexey,

I already got all other components save for the YM2413 and the ROM chip. I've found a company that can flash a 27c256 for me and mail (for a total of 10€).

I can find some YM2413/YM2413B for quite cheap on eBay. But I have no idea if the dealers can be trusted ... are there a lot of fake/faulty chips floating around for sale?

In any case, Alexey, I'll send you an email in a minute =).
