Hey, I am willing to test too. AFAIK for ad-hoc distribution, there's no need for the apple-store connection (just a regular certification thing that should be available to you anyway, since you have access to the SDK and all) and jailbreak. So, if you need an UDID from me, hit me at marco [at] marcof dot net.
Happy to test it.

offtopic I guess, but what I would really like to see is that those great MSX games are ported (natively) to the iOS platform. Adjusted for the new controls, spiced up graphics, but storyline and game experience the same.. Now *that* would be awesome.

I did let him know. So you should get an answer soon.

By the way....he did put in F-key support as well in the second beta. So games like Metal Gear 2 should work fine now.
Even the analog stick support is added for the ones that already have an iControlPad. Not that MSX does use a lot of that as far as I know, but it helps for different other tasks.

MSX doesn't use analog sticks at all. Only digital sticks Smile

Yeah I know, but it add's to the number of buttons you can use on the iControlPad. The Pad itself has a D-pad, 4 facebuttons, a select, a start and two rear buttons. When more buttons are needed to use more functions the analog sticks can be used as well. The analog sticks can be used to operate the menu of the emulator : )

I've been totally swamped with work last couple of weeks and am really back logged on stuff I need to do. I really want to try it but haven't had any time at all for personal stuff. As soon as I can find a bit of time I'll try it. I'm eager to test it.

I did had a few days to test it, but then I went on holiday, so didn't had much time. Right now I'm back home and still got a week off, so I'll do some more serieus testing.

FWIW, I've been testing the emu as well. Works very well, but it's clear that the games of the past are not really suitable for touch. To play it properly one really needs one of these controller add-ons. But that's not the emu makers fault, nothing he can do about it.

What I would really like to see is to have the most popular games ported to a native iOS game.. with adjusted controls.. now *that* would be awesome.

In the meantime, I enjoy the occasional emulated MSX game :-)

Ok, seems like it's somehow directed, since the iControlPad (http://icontrolpad.com/order) is now available for $49,99 for only THIS WEEK. For Europe that comes to a total of 53,88 euro including VAT and Shipping. (normal 84,- euro's) You get the additional rubber sites as well, so you can use it as a regular BT controller.

But the offer only lasts for ONE WEEK. We're half way that week now.

Oh yeah, in the picture the rubber sides are grey, but yours will be black.

No, it's 58,30 euro :-)
Oh well, I caved in and ordered it. Tough decision since I will probably use it very little (only for the MSX emu)
