Thanks; I will revise my license models to prevent anyone making any money on the romdb and the cheatsdb. I don't care if you're within your rights really... I care about ethics which you clearly lack.

I haven't spend hours in the last 8 years for some punk to make a quick buck on the hard work a whole team has put into the bluemsx emulator. I can't believe mars2k agreed to this BS.

Ok, first off, this port began by request of a member of this site and I am not familiar with the history of the emulator so I apologize if I've made some major omission with the credits. From the source files I've used so far I've only noticed Daniel Vik and 1 or 2 other names listed. Please let me know if there are others not directly credited.

Also, I'm not using your rom or cheat database, nor would I since I'm stripping out all the XML reading code and will use a custom format when databases are supported. Furthermore, I don't see how you can "license" a series of game names and hash codes. If you are worried about the price, I've based it on the amount of work required to modify my framework to handle the emulation of a full computer system as previously it was only used for consoles. All my code from previous projects is available for free under the GPL and I have made every effort to verify BlueMSX is also fully covered by that license. If there is anything unethical here, it's you trying to dictate how I use free software. Perhaps you would prefer to wait for a random dev to port BlueMSX who doesn't care about you or the license and keeps all the source code to himself?

I don't really care about your self justification nor do I care about who requested what. I give my opinion where I want and how I want.

Running MSX.emu now on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 en it looks great. Only thing I cant get working is the keyboard dock.
I used the key config form MSX.emu to bind all keyboard keys to the MSX.emu keys, but it looks only the shift & return are mapped, all other keys dont work (the mapping in the config screen does work, so the keys are mapped)

Anyone an idea what is going wrong with key mapping ?

Also I'm missing an option to start the emu without a gamerom inside, so that I just can boot a msx and start in Basic. (Right now i'm doing it by loading a MSX2.rom, but I suppose that's not the way to do it)

Does it mean current version of MSX.emu cannot run a lot of games just because it cannot guess the type of ROM ?
If so, I'd suggest there should be at least a way to set the ROM type manually...

I've found the auto-detection code works quite well on the games I've tested. I'm sure there are a few that might have issues but so far I haven't received any reports of serious compatibility problems. I'll also be adding a slimmed down ROM DB implementation in a future update.

Btw, everyone should use the MSX.emu release thread for future questions about the app to keep things organized :)

I see the emu interesting, but the price of 8 eur for the webos version i think is expensive.

What turbo-crap pseudo-msx?. What are you talking about?. It's clear its based on bluemsx, and bluemsx it's free. Also, webos version don't have bluetooth keyboard support, so yes, is expensive.

Here link it's saying that MSX.EMU is open source:

Quote:

The source is released under the GPLv3 license.

So, where can I get it?
