Hi boys,

sorry for the "probably very stupid question", but there are a lot of months that I'm looking for a _good_ msx emulator on PC Windows, but.... nor of them works! Just one, but I really didn't know how and where to take "videogames", "cartridges", how to play and/or listen musics, how to load msx games on normal msx disks etc...etc....
Can somebody help me ?!

THANK YO !!!

I wasn't trying to tell anybody to specificly use fMSX-SDL using my tutorial you know.
Just a quick step by step guide on how to find roms and how to use them.

Just a coincident that I had fMSX-SDL available on my HD :)
It could have been any other too...

I have several MSX emulators on my HD... My personal favorites are openMSX and NLMSX. The latter is quite useful to quickly test something. The first is simply the best around at the moment, but lacks either a launcher or a GUI at this moment. And the comparison also has links to the emulator sites to download and get more specific info about them.

NLMSX seems totally worth the download to me. The GUI is cool, it feels good and does the job.

Concerning the software, there's a link here point to FUNET FTP site.. check there and find your pleasures. The download may hurt a little, but it's something you get used too.
keep digging. ro

For me, as I say other times, paraMSX is the most stable and user-friendly MSX emu, I was able to emulate many cartridges and disks with an accurate sound and fps... RuMSX and NL-MSX are nice emulators too...

And as for my preference:
I prefer fMSX-SDL, because of its super-easy interface Smile
But I can't deny that it doesn't emulate all games.
