I tried the MacOSX build, but it's so anti-user that I abandoned all hope and deleted it as soon as I can. You have to be a CLI-loving mutant, surviving from the MS-DOS days to fully enjoy OpenMSX. Mac is not the right platform for those venerable creatures.

Thanks for the feedback RyJuZo. Can you give us a program to test with, so that if it still occurs, we can fix the problem? If you prefer, we can promise you to not spread it further, that shouldn't be a problem.

dhau: thanks for the feedback. You should really try NekoLauncher openMSX, because indeed, for MacOSX, there isn't a GUI available yet. But NekoLauncher is very good. See http://www5f.biglobe.ne.jp/~nekocan/group_soft/ht_soft.html
You'll get the best MSX emulation experience available on Mac, as far as I've heard (I don't have a Mac myself because I'm a CLI-loving mutant).

dhau: Most of openMSX was written by CLI-lovers. We are not anti-user, but we do work first on the features we ourselves like to use. openMSX is in need of attention from a GUI-lover, so if you are one or know one, please come and join us.

Slightly off topic: I think CLI is not just a leftover from ancient systems. It's a very powerful interface for users who know an application well. The advantage of a GUI though is that you can be productive without being very familiar with an application. So I think we need both types of interfaces, now and in the future.

I once had the opportunity to install openMSX on a mac... together with Nekolauncher this emu is great.

Please join our team to improve the user experience for the better.

Manuel: As far as I know, the result of getEvenOddMask() is only used in bitmap modes, not in text modes. So this change should have no effect on SCREEN 0. Also, RyJuZo mentioned the blink positions being wrong, not the blink state.

Sorry for the late reaction...had to double check..

The blink issue seems to be gone in the new version!?!

I think the previous version I had was a bit corrupted or something...because I did not change the code I was running..very weird?

but anyways...no issues from my side anymore...sorry for the inconvenience guys...

RyJuZo: are you absolutely sure? Which version did you test? Thanks a lot for checking this.

I had the very first one 0.7.0..

and yes I'm sure...I triple checked it Wink the old one still corrupts the blink positions but the new one does not !

And no thanks needed ....cause I use openmsx explicitly so it's in my benefit to test it thoroughly...Smile
