MSX related anime / live action manga
Dont forget Tower of Druaga (From which both episodes are available at youtube).
Erh I meant Seasons/Parts. Not episodes.
Hinotori is an Anime as well. And ofcourse we have Gundam. And if I remember well, Aura Battler Dunbine was an anime too.
I remember a cartoon series from Konami featuring Simon Belmont. It was on Dutch television somewhere in the ninetees. It sucked!
@ yum:
Are you talking about Captain N?
It was a cartoon obviously (even to a child :)) spawned to promote the Nintendo system and its games.
The characters featured goodies and baddies from games by Konami, Capcom et al.
By the way, Super Mario Bros. and Legend of Zelda had their own cartoons as well in those days.
Hinotori is an Anime as well.
AFAIK that anime has no link to the Konami game. Hinotori is Japanese story/myth/fairytale....

Oh yes, it has some links. Some music used in the anime is used in the game as well and the player (a guy with only one arm) is taken from the anime. Also, the picture on the Hinotori box is taken from the anime.
@ Demonseed: Yes, it was Captain N indeed. A shameless promotion of Nintendo games packed as a brainless cartoon with a lot of bad American childish humour.
But hey! It featured Simon Belmont... so it MUST be cool, right?
What about MUSCLEMAN? I loved the anime and the MSX game wasn't that bad
Distrubuted by Bandai and based upon the TOEI ANIMATION characters.
What I miss most is an official DRAGON BALL game for MSX (though Imanok coded FINAL BOUT) and also a decent FIST OF THE NORTH START adaptation. Evidently, SAINT SEYA would be also welcome, don't you think so?
Thanks for the tip, pitpan!
Fist of the North Star would be GREAT.
IMHO the only FotNS game I know (on the NES; IIRC also by TOEI) doesn't do it justice at all.
By the way, pitpan, as you know almost any imaginable standard type of video game (beat-'em-'up, puzzle, adventure...) has been moulded into the Dragon Ball-Z setting.
if there would ever be a Dragon Ball-Z game for MSX, what type of game would you like most?
