Ehrm. I think the MRC Challenge only accepts entries running on MSX
@BiFi: It's not for an MRC challenge It's a BrainGames competition.
A Dragon Slayer remake, that I'd like to make...
Are there map resources on the web ?
I need ALL maps in bitmap format, with monsters, treasures, etc.
Thank you.
K.
[EDIT]
Guess I already found the maps: http://cz600c-web.hp.infoseek.co.jp/gamehtml/ds4_map.html
I'll see if I can do a remake of this.
[/EDIT]
Can anyone supply me with storyline, and specifics for this game ?
I have the game cartridge, but I actually never played it before
Any tips are welcome.
DS IV? hmm, good luck. (and euh, what progs you use to make such games?!?)
Visual C++, OpenGL, using my own level editor, ...
Ehr.. just wonderin' Argon... Is that 'Visual C++' as in 'MS Visual C++'?
Sure. And don't worry, I have a license for it
I'm not worried.. I was just curious though

It is not a Braingames competition either. Braingames is just one of the competitors of the Retro Remakes competition:

Good luck though!
Dragon Slayer VI (Legend of Heroes) was published by Falcom for Windows and PlayStation as well, but they're more like ports from the original 8 bit versions than remakes.
A remake of Sorcerian was made by Falcom as well. Although I bought it a couple of months ago, I didn't find the time to install and play it. Can't say whether it truly is a remake or if it is an entirely different game.
The same goed for Hydlide, which was remade for Windows as well. The graphics and music are better, but the game itself is hardly different from the original.
