I´m very angry with something that I have found into the MSX community.
Some people want to make their own MSX web and because they don´t have any original idea to make it they visit others´ MSX web pages and steal data from there.
I don´t mind stealing news, games and demos... this freaking annoying people copy literally the texts from others, and they do it by the dirtiest way in the world... they copy the texts and then paste them on their webs! I can´t stand it! What do they do this for?
Come on guys, be serious and do something original, at least change the texts so not many people will realize of the data stealing Smile
I know this because I have noticed it.
Well, be good and be always original.

Unfortunately, it happens everywhere...

Funny, when people copy ideas and data for games it's ok, but when people copy ideas and data for websites it's not ok?

I wonder what Karoshi Corp. has to say about that Tongue

My personal Home Page may have some content taken from other websites, now or will have later. I think it's good to have such info, tips, etc. for Konami MSX games (as it's mainly Konami MSX related) central on one website. Having to look for 1 tip or trick for a game on 10 different websites is more of an annoyance than useful. For me that's the only reason to have content taken from other sites.

Besides, with tips it's not that easy to change the content as there's very little text for tips. Take key combinations for example, or typing a list of keys (like passwords). These are hard to change as there is very little content you can play with.

Nothing at all: all what we produce is made by ourselves, more or less inspired by games for other systems, but I can asure you that it is not that easy as "COPY AND PASTE" method.

The difficulty of a crime is not an issue in the application of law.

Well I was referring to all the texts that someone writes on his web and others steal up to their own web page. I didn´t mean tricks, games or information from games, I meant stories, prologues, and explaining texts.
Of course that we "steal" some data from others, such as games or news but it´s not bad to me. Sometimes we need this staff to build up our website.
Sorry for my english, because maybe I didn´t explain my point of view vey clear.
Sad
