Using Toshiba HX-MU901 with the Philips Music Module

I recently bought a Toshiba HX-MU900 + keyboard.
I also own a Music Module. According to the MSX FAQ the connectors are the same, but they pins are arranged differently.
Back in the days some commodore keyboards were adapted to use with the music module in the netherlands.
I want to be able to use the keyboard with both modules.

So i was wondering:

1.) Is it possible to solder a cable with on 1 end a female plug (Toshiba) and on the other end a male plug (Philips)
2.) Are these connectors proprietary?

Yes, it's possible. To build the adapter you'll need this information.

Does someone has this adapter laying around? I would like to have one if it isn't too expensive. I'm not handy with soldering.

Come on. It's a very basic wiring adapter. Minimal soldering skills are required for this. You should try it. Smile

Look at the "Connectors" tab inside that XLS file.

You just need to rewire it so every signal gets into its correct pin. Notice that the over the pins 9 & 11 is that dent that makes sure that the connector can't be connected upside-down. The pinout shown is for the male connector on the cartridge.

Digging up an old thread while stumbling on it in search for other info about this keyboard.
It needs to be said that you will not be able to play on the keyboard if you use this adapter. Key presses will be registered in most cases, but the right note will never be played. It's all shifted a bit.
