In the past few months a lot of progress has been made. You can see detailed report on the website:
http://www.project-melancholia.org/progress.html
The final release will have at least 4 different versions such as:
1. Original translation that works with original SD Snatcher sound cartridge (Snatcher sound cartridge will give an error) .
2. Original translation that works with original Snatcher sound cartridge (SD snatcher sound cartridge will give an error).
3. Mapper version (128KB+ of RAM) that works with SCC sound cartridge (Salamander, etc...) or MegaFlashROM SCC.
4. Mapper version (128KB+ of RAM) that works with SCC-I sound cartridge (SD Snatcher Sound Cartridge, Snatcher Sound Cartridge, MegaFlashROM SCC+, MegaFlashROM SCC+SD, Special SD Snatcher 2MB Flash Cartridge).
So, when do you plan an initial release?

It's hard to say exactly, but we almost ready. Because now we have few versions to test, it may take longer than if we had just one version. But a lot of people want to be able to play without SD Snatcher sound cartridge. So I would say it be a safe guess to put initial release date before NOV.1.2013

I would like to play it with this cartridge: http://www.msx.org/es/forum/debates-en-espa-ol/foro-general/...
It's waiting for the Melancholia version !

You can play it with this cartridge. You have 2 options:
1. 2MB SD-Snatcher Flash Cartridge + original SD Snatcher Sound Cartridge + MSX2 (or better) with 64KB+ RAM
2. 2MB SD-Snatcher Flash Cartridge + MSX2 (or better) with 128KB+ RAM
So I will be able to play it on my turbo R using the Playsoniq as SCC-I. Excellent job Max! I will require this to be finished by the X-mas holiday.
