What is the problem with scrolling? A game like Aleste 2 should scroll quite smoothly.

Also, what msxholder wrote was about the disk drives: swap the 2 drive cables and you can test drive B. But it's not very important. 2 drives are not used by any game.

The turbo mode of this model is very special, no other MSX has it. It is not supported by any software I know.

Do you get FM sound when you insert the FM-PAC? (Just try Aleste 2 with and without the FM-PAC inserted.)

Also, when you open the machine again, please check whether you can see a chip with V9958 on it (or near it on the PCB). That would confirm you have the expanded HC-95A with the MSX2+ videochip.

Yes, it's an MSX2 with a V9958 video chip, probably. (msxholder showed a similar one on the Nijmegen 2012 fair.)

The pin layout is the same on both HC 95 only mechanical differences
It cost me a half day to make an keyboard adapter.
That info about pin name etc is in this site !!! I sorted it out a time ago .

Hey bateman82, msxholder

If possible, can you re-dumpmain bios (slot 0-0), disk (Slot 3), rs-232c & System Control firmware (Slot 0-1), KANJIROM by using SAVEROM.COM and KANJIROM.BAS when Turbo Mode is On?
Because of 7FF7h-7FFF is modified due to Disk I/O register, redump needs.
Also dumped HC-95 seems not be dumped on Turbo Mode, KANJI.ROM must be dumped from original.

Hi to everyone! I feel really sorry for my long absence but, in this weeks I've worked (and fix!) a broken cd32+promodule.

First of all I wanna say to bluemsx@naver.com that I've received his message but when I click to (http://www.msx.org/users/bateman82/contact) appear this message:
"Access denied
You are not authorized to access this page"
So, why can't I access to my contact page? maybe a webmaster can help me...

While fixing the cd32, the HC-95 was always on my mind... I asked to myself what is the most important thing for my beloved msx and the answer was ONE: THE KEYBOARD (AND HOW TO BUILD AN ADAPTOR).

Hi Luca, if you add e-mail address to your profile, I've got something for you.. :D (a disk full of test software, auto-running & selectable using a joystick).

Btw. is it not possible to find a HB-F700 keyboard? 8280 keyboard is probably more complicated to attach. As if this problem isn't hard enough already for you! LOL!

Another question: is it possible to find another MSX hardware 'guru' anywhere near you? That would help a LOT. I can't help you there since I'm in the NL.

Retrotechie you're the man! thank you much for your support! I think that my email is already public, you can check my profile.
About the keyboard I need some detailed informations:
1)I can buy a complete hb-f700 for 100 euro... obviously it's not a bargain, so can somebody explain me, in a very accurate way, why for this keyboard is easier /rather than the phillips nms 8280) to build an adaptor for hc-95?

2)Is there somebody able to explain me, step step, how to build such a converter for the keyboard?

3)I've found this:
http://karve.en.alibaba.com/productshowimg/378444066-2100088...
Is it the male uber rare dsub connetcor of my hc-95?
If needed I can post again the uber rare pinout of my keyboard socket

4)I'd like to send a PM to msxholder, because he is the only one that can really help me (cos he owns the same hc-95), but I don't know hos to do... can someone explain me?

As usually I will post the same in the thread " Compatibility of external MSX keyboards thread " where the brave one that decide to help me can find all the pinout and the pics he needs (I hope...).
Ps: If somebody is interested here you can buy a complete hc-95

Thanks in advance!!!

Make sure you're logged in to MSX.org, then when you click on another user's nick, you get that user's profile (and a "contact" tab that allows you to send a personal message to that user)

Probably to prevent (non logged in) robots from harvesting e-mail addresses or other info that's only meant to be shared with other MRC users. Which is how it should be.

Just did - no e-mail address in there. PM sent...

I just try to contact msxholder (the one who can help me) but in his profile there is no contact tab, so I think that some users (like him) can choose to be unreachable by the other members.
I'm really disappointed because I think that nobody can help me in built that keyboard adaptor.

In a COUPLE OF HOURS I have to decide if buy the hb-f700 (for 100 euro) and I NEED to know if it's easier to build an adaptor for my keyboard (rathere than the nms 8280) using that keyboard socket, PLEASE somebody help me.
What is the pinout for the hb-f700 keyboard? It's like 12 pin, but I cannot find the right shape anywhere in internet.

I've bought the Hb-f700, I've found out that is 13 pin. Now what do I need to built the adaptor?
Maybe a female connector (13 pin) like this http://www.hamradioexpress.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=p... and a male connector (for the hc-95 keyboard port) like this http://karve.en.alibaba.com/productshowimg/378444066-2100088... ?
Is it right? and then?
Is there anybody who can help me?
