Anyone having problems using FAT12 partitions? For some reason, I can only fit about 46-47 files per partition and when I try to add another, my computer gives me an error and doesn't transfer the file. I'm assuming this is some sort of limitation of FAT12?

i think for fat12 the file limitation is 256 files

That's strange because I can't get anywhere near that, I can only have up to 46 or 47 files before it starts throwing a fit. This isn't an MSX problem or an MFR problem BTW.

I can copy up to 112 files to the root directory of a FAT12 partition using MegFlashROM SCC+ SD
What error do you get?

First off, let me thank you for such a wonderful product! I got my MegaFlashROM SCC+ SD today and I totally love it! Everything is so convenient (and fast, compared to writing disks), not to mention the SCC music which is awesome!

However, I can't get the Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake ROM to work with it - tried it on Yamaha YIS503III, Yamaha YIS805/128 and on Philips NMS8280/256k
Tried a couple of different roms and an original japanese, tried /X and /H opfxsd switches.
Tried different slots, no luck. I just have a beautiful blue screen when booting (and some garbage on it when I try /X)

Tried to run the ROM on blueMSX with corresponding machine profiles loaded, and while both Yamaha's can't run it on emul, it runs with NMS8280 machine profile.
So my guess, even if the ROM is incompatible with Yamaha's hardware, at least it must run on NMS8280? Please help

I use a Mac, so I get an error -36 with Finder whenever I try to go over 46/47 files. I haven't tried it yet on a Windows system but I'll give it a shot later today.

Meits: Are there dumps/fixes of the game that make it actually run in a subslot? Even the patched English translated version with the latest fixes from Bifi (http://bifi.msxnet.org/mg2ss-eng/) does not work in a subslot. I can only get it to run when it is in a main slot.

And since the Flash Rom + SD uses subslotting for the different functions the game will simply hang.

I tried copying some more files again in both Windows 7 and Windows 98, and I ran into the same problem. Win7 says that it has problems writing to a FAT partition (!) and suggests reformatting it to NTFS, while Win98 just says that it can't copy the file over.
