How do i correctly update my MFR to latest Nextor 2 not beta (currently it uses beta version but surely i'd prefer to use latest one)? Do i need to just download few files from Nextor site to my boot sd partition (i erased the romdisk so it's not about updating romdisk) or it wouldn't be enough?

Nextor 2 beta and Nextor 2 are almost the same, but with different names Tongue
You can update Nextor kernel easily from recovery menu:
- Copy Nextor kernel for recovery in an EMPTY SD card.
- From recovery select F4 option.

Returning to the keyboard matrix. You can find the proper layout for russian YIS503 and YIS805 computers at the end of page at http://map.grauw.nl/articles/keymatrix.php

Making the russian ROM version would be very helpful for the people who use this Yamahas, but what if i want to use it on YIS* one day and f.e. on my Philips other day? Reflashing it every time will be not good. And i don't know decent way to programmatically recognize whether layout is QWERTY or JCUKENG. This would be fine to get some key to be pressed at boot to select the layout. For example, keeping right cursor key should switch to russian keyboard without flashing russian rom version. Again, it would be good to have the russian version too, but in this case the right cursor key should switch to international one temporarily. So that usual and this special ROM will differ in default layout while special key should switch to the other one on the boot.
P.S. This is funny that on QWERTY the key 'Y' located at the same place as JCUKENG key 'N' - and when i was using the recovery menu from my YIS503III computer i needed to press N to _confirm_ the actions :D that was hilarious

@Gullian; Is it possible for Mega Flash ROM SCC+ SD to load DMK files? And if so how to do this.
If not, DMK support is really a feature I would like to see. - Thank you again for this great MSX product!

@Pencioner: I have updated the user's manual with the russian keyboard matrix.
About selecting the keyboard layout pressing a key. I'll think about it.

@ray2day: I don't know what are DMK files. If they need a tool to be used you can configure MultiMente to use it with .dmk extension.

Guillian: DMK files are disk image files which contain more lower level data, so that every copy protection can also be dumped (and emulated; also by tools like the MFRSCC+SD and Nowind). More info here: http://www.trs-80.com/wordpress/dsk-and-dmk-image-utilities/ at DMK Format Details.

DMK images can be made on real MSX only, using read-dmk.com. More info here: http://sourceforge.net/p/openmsx/openmsx/ci/master/tree/Cont...

Thanks, Manuel.
Then DMK files are not supported by MegaFlashROM SCC+ SD Wink

A bit to lazy to read all posts in this topic, I'm having this problem.
When I try to flash a Rom into my MFR with opfxsd /s I get this error:

No MegaFlashROM SCC+ found.

The MegaFlashROM SCC+ does boot the SD card and it looks like everything is working except flashing a rom into it.

Nevermind. My mistake. I was using the /s option where I had to use /x
