ym2413 released several tracks using a multitude of MSX soundchips on Soundcloud for you to enjoy. The SCMD compiler makes it possible to create music for a combination of PSG, two SCCs, MSX-MUSIC and MSX-Audio - resulting in a sound one might not expect from MSX.

Right now you can listen to two versions of BurningPoint (arranged from SEGA's Thunder Blade) and a track called Qualtet "New Wave"

Very nice stuff, thanks for sharing!

Maybe I should take the plunge and start to learn writing music in MML Cool

Too bad the artist hasnt released anything new Sad

Offtopic, but I did toy around a bit in MusicA a few months ago. Made a short intro of for a 90's-style trance track and some MIDI conversion for fun but really nothing special. Although it is powerful software, I think its just not for me for various reasons. I prefer tracker or pianorol (on PC).

Thanks for bumping this, though. I always preferred making music in MML but I think trackers spoiled me. Currently I'm struggling to make anything at all. Tongue

It wasnt a deliberate bump, it showed up in the Today's History of the front page Big smile

btw parn I listen a lot to your fasttracker remakes of videogame music like 15-20 years ago.. so you were doing pretty good with trackers despite you preferring MML Smile I am actually downloading some of your songs from your website right now since I haven't heard them for over a decade Smile
