Hi,

Recently I acquired a Sony HB-F900 and its HBI module. Smile

Althought the MSX and the HBI are in near mint conditions, the set lacks the cable to connect both.

Both MSX and HBI have centronics 50 pin connectors for this purpose.

I think I can build my own cable, however I need to know whether it is a simple pin-to-pin cable or is there any "crosswiring" or "trick" to be performed.

Please, anyone can help me with more information about this cable?

Thanks in advance.

Please find below pictures for these connectors.

I'm in the same situation, I would also love to know about the pinout...

Maybe a initial educated guess can be made by means of checking for ground pin coincidences.

Perhaps someone who has this cable could check the pin-to-pin connection with a multimeter...

It is a simple test, altough somewhat boring... oO

I will test it when I have a bit more time :)

So then must be a straight cable without crossed wires as Jipe suggested... Running Naked in a Field of Flowers

...;but now, which digitizing/editing video software it uses? Smile

The pin-out of the connector is available, you can see whether it has dangerous signals like 5V and GND.

Thanks Manuel. Can you provide a link to the pin-out information?

Oops, I am confused with the HBI-G900P connector. I don't know whether it's the same or not... But it has its service manual online somewhere. Googleth and thou will find.

Last year I saw a couple of diskettes for this computer marked as "Easy Telopper II"

Maybe for use with this cartridge ?
