Be careful, as WIndows tends to destroy stuff, especially FAT12 partitions.

DanySoft, what configuration or MSX machine are you trying to load it on?
I can get it to work with blueMSX but not with openMSX.

Succes !

I've managed to setup an old pc with a floppy drive and created a disk image of Bomberman 1. Please visit our site:

www.paragon-msx.com and start your download! :D

In the meantime i'll have a look at bomberman2, because it doesn't run for me also. The game gets stuck at the intro screen. (I'm using ruMSX)

I'll keep u posted.

Using openMSX I get an error, Illegal function call in 1.

Bomberman 1 and Bomberman 2 both work fine in openMSX. Tested with Boosted MSX2 EN and turboR configuration.

If you get Illegal function call in 2 (which I got on a turboR), the issue is a bug in the game. It doesn't handle the fact that Japanese MSX machines start up in screen 1, and simply does a WIDTH 80 without changing to screen 0.

If you do a screen 0 and then RUN, it works fine Smile

You can also let the MSX boot in screen 0 by doing set screen after doing a screen 0 or simply fix the autoexec.bas of the game.

Thanks Manuel. I got it running. It's really nice to finally see this game!

a bug, a bug.... more like missing feature.. lol. We didnt have the possibility to test these games on all sorts of MSX machines, they were developed on (i believe) NMS 8245, 8280 and Sony F700D. Wink

Good to hear the games are working fine.

Yes, the Philips 8245 seems to be the best way to go; both Bomberman 1 and 2 work perfectly with that configuration.
