Dear MSX geeks.
I recently visited Japan and, being an MSX geek myself (or more like a former MSX geek) I wanted to check out some of the retro gaming stores over there. Unfortunately I didn't have time to visit Akihabara in Tokyo, but I did manage to visit Den Den town in Osaka. These are apparently the places to be for this kind of stuff.
To be honest, it was a bit disappointing. I guess the MSX sections in the retro gaming stores are getting smaller and smaller these days. Still, I did see some cool stuff. I took some photos that you might find interesting.
Here are the photos I took in Game Tanteidan in Osaka. Of the two shops I visited in Osaka, they had the largest MSX section. Some games are quite pricey, as you can see. They also had some used MSX 2 (perhaps 2+) models lying around, wrapped in shrink wrap plastic. Link: http://postimg.org/gallery/nxexcbtm/f662d28f/
Here are some photos I took in Super Potato in Osaka (this is the one in Den Den town - I also stumbled upon another Super Potato store, which didn't have MSX stuff in stock). Check out the cool Metal Gear flyer! Link: http://postimg.org/gallery/2gife85ig/0574ff1a/
